Heaven by Marc Jacobs & Starface Drop Grungy Collab

Share

Heaven by Marc Jacobs, the subculture-driven brand, has teamed up with Starface, the brand known for destigmatizing acne care, for a new collaboration. Available as of today, May 5th, the collection merges fashion and beauty with a nostalgic, Gen Z appeal.

What’s the Buzz About?

This collab features tattoo-inspired pimple patches designed by artists. The campaign showcases talent like BB Trickz, Lil Uzi, beabadoobee, and Grimes sporting the patches.

What’s Included in the Collection?

The centerpiece of the collection is a mirrored compact filled with tattoo-inspired pimple patches. Instead of Starface’s classic Big Yellow compact, this version comes in black and white but maintains the signature smile. Inside, you’ll find 32 hydrocolloid pimple patches. The tattoo designs include a clothespin, a “mom” banner, and Heaven’s double-headed bear.

Why Hydrocolloid Patches?

These patches aren’t just cute; they’re effective. Made with 100% hydrocolloid, they draw out impurities like pus, oil, and fluid from open pimples. This helps to flatten and calm the pimple while protecting it from bacteria, reducing the risk of scarring. Keep in mind that hydrocolloid patches work best on whiteheads and surface-level pimples, not deep, under-the-skin blemishes.

Where Can You Buy It?

The Starface x Heaven by Marc Jacobs compact is available for $19 on the Starface and Marc Jacobs websites, as well as in-store at Heaven by Marc Jacobs locations in LA and London. It’s a limited edition collection, so grab it while you can.

A History of Heaven by Marc Jacobs

Heaven by Marc Jacobs originally started as a boutique in New York City in the ’90s. It has since been reimagined as a subculture-driven brand for Gen Z, with its designs nodding to ’90s grunge and street style. The brand is known for its double-headed teddy bear logo and oversized tees.

Starface’s History of Collabs

Starface has a history of playful brand collaborations, including partnerships with Glossier, Hello Kitty, and Spongebob. This collaboration with Heaven by Marc Jacobs marks Starface’s first foray into the fashion world.

Beauty and Fashion in Sync

The Starface and Heaven by Marc Jacobs collaboration signals a growing trend of fashion and beauty brands working together. Previously, Pat McGrath collaborated with Supreme, Dr. Barbara Sturm partnered with Aquazzura, and Boy Smells teamed up with Ganni. This year also saw Halfdays, a skiwear brand, collaborate with Ilia, a clean beauty brand.
